BREW has a rich history that, unless you’ve frequented our little coffee shop and had conversation with the individuals behind the bar crafting your drink, or if you’ve been around FTL for years, you may not know.

You see, BREW originally began back in 2000 in the heart of Downtown Fort Lauderdale – a little coffee shop opened up called “Two Street Coffee” by Dan’s brother, after 5 years of making coffee downtown, it was sold to Rick and Dede Hunter and rebranded as “BREW Urban Cafe”. Since then, there have been several different owners, but it eventually ended up in the hands of Dan and Sarah in 2015. There are a few baristas behind the bar that have been with BREW since nearly the beginning and at this point we’re more than a family than anything else. Sometimes we have customers who will tell us “I feel like I’m coming home when I walk into BREW.” To speak into this, we feel the same. BREW really is our home and we love having the community over to our place for coffee, to drink deeply with us and thoroughly enjoy their experience in this place. We hope that’s how you leave feeling each time.
